Dear Friend,
With the end of the year quickly approaching, I find myself reflecting on previous Christmases.
As a boy, I remember my mother preparing a feast of holiday delicacies, complete with her delicious pies. After we stuffed ourselves with goodies.
Every time I remember our family’s Christmas traditions, I always take time to ponder the reason for our celebration. I will never get over the thankfulness I feel when I consider that the God of the universe sent His Son to earth as a tiny baby . . . a baby who grew up to die for our sins and to offer us eternal life.
My prayer for you as we reflect back on this special season is that you might continue to experience the wonder of Christmas in a very personal way . . . that you might feel a sense of awe and gratitude for the gift that is Jesus Christ . . . that you might center your celebration on the One who is worthy.
